Everything looks the same but nothing is the same!



Everything looks the same but so much has changed. 
Into our third week and you've probably noticed our world has been compromised. Our basic interactions with others are being reshaped: new ways of greeting people; new modes of communication; new 'rules' to social interaction. Everyday competencies we have taken for granted look different - think about what a trip to the supermarket now entails: a queue to enter, marks on the ground to tell you where to stand, wiping down trolleys, navigating aisles to give 'personal space', limits on some items...and so the adaptations go on. 

It's like finding ourselves in a different culture without leaving home!

As a result some have begun to reflect on what we can learn from the world of cross-cultural ministry to give us insight into how to live well today.

It feels like yesterday we were doing Christmas in our house. Last year we so enjoyed getting ready for it, celebrating Advent, probably the proper way for the first time. Lockdown has its uses J ! As Lent came round we asked ourselves why we give more importance to Advent and not to Lent. Surely both are as important! Both are amazing news for humanity. So we decided to do Advent the ‘right’ way this year. Of course, with a one and four year old, it might look a lot different to how others celebrate it, but we found ways to involve everyone in our family and to make it meaningful. Every Moment Holy.
