Midday tomorrow!

Over recent weeks, in both our morning congregations, we've been trying connect with one another's lives beyond 'Sunday' by hearing from someone about what they will be doing the following day. Obviously this has normally meant Monday morning - but this week we are shifting the question to the end of the week and asking...

'What will you be doing at midday tomorrow (Friday 27th)?'

In current circumstances it might be tempting to think everyone's at home, yet the reality is that we're much more diverse than that - not only do we have a number of 'essential workers' in the church family, who are 'out' at work but whose jobs look very different to normal, but those of us working or doing school at home will be establishing different patterns and focusing on very varied things, and of course retirees will be finding their own rhythms to the day.

So whether it is gardening, a maths class (doing it or trying to teach one), accounts, a Zoom meeting, celebrating a birthday, calling a friend... post a line below to describe what you will be up to. And as we build up a picture of the Myton Church family in 'shut down' let's pray and be glad for one another.

'What will you be doing at midday tomorrow (Friday 27th)?'

  1. Working from home as normal - missing people. More time in the study is making it messier - should aim to do some tidying!

  2. In the office at home, dreaming of the jacket potato, cheese and beans that I won't be able to eat at the community cafe... I'll have to make my own lunch!

  3. Kids might be playing camping on an island in the garden and acting out Swallows & Amazons or listening to an audible book while playing with Playmobil. Robert will be at work trying to enable clients to work at home. I’ll be getting lunch ready and then trying to persuade Ethan that Daddy’s homemade lasagne is just like Daddy’s homemade spag bol! Might have to add baked beans and chips to help!

  4. I'll be giving both children lunch and then putting them both for a nap after a morning of playing in the garden, probably.

  5. I'll be chasing Isaac in the garden for sure while trying to get lunch ready ('owl hotpot' as Isaac calls it, as per his Peter Rabbit series!).

  6. I'll be helping out at Foodbank!

  7. When back from shopping enjoying a jacket potato beans and cheese prepared by Kim!!!
