'The opportunities of being trapped with your kids!'


On Friday I highlighted the website of a contributor to a book I, (Jackie), am currently reading. At a time when life contains so many 'groundhog' moments I thought I'd do the same again this side of the weekend! This time the focus is on parenting. Rachel Turner pens a more positive chapter than this cartoon suggests!
It's headed 'Parenting: The opportunities of being trapped with your kids'.
Elaborating on themes in the chapter in a post on the 'Parenting for Faith' website and an accompanying podcast, she flags up some Bible stories to help children and young people find wisdom in the Bible to help them navigate the current pandemic. There are also a number of other resources.

It feels like yesterday we were doing Christmas in our house. Last year we so enjoyed getting ready for it, celebrating Advent, probably the proper way for the first time. Lockdown has its uses J ! As Lent came round we asked ourselves why we give more importance to Advent and not to Lent. Surely both are as important! Both are amazing news for humanity. So we decided to do Advent the ‘right’ way this year. Of course, with a one and four year old, it might look a lot different to how others celebrate it, but we found ways to involve everyone in our family and to make it meaningful. Every Moment Holy.
