Fresh energy in prayer

The coronavirus pandemic has left most of us feeling unsettled, concerned and very aware of our human frailty. With every news cycle we gain a small insight as to what is not only happening in our own country but around the world. The longer things go on,  the incomprehensible scale of the problem and the lack of clarity about future developments can leave us unsure what to pray for. Perhaps those resources that helped at the beginning now feel out of date.

The '5 things to pray' series has produced a specific 'coronavirus' edition to help Christians express the words and priorities of Scripture as they turn to their heavenly Father in these days. The book includes helpful hints on praying through the feelings we may be experiencing, what we could ask for those in our household or people we can not visit, ideas in lifting up key workers and the health system to the Lord. Other areas touched on include the sick, the government and the Church.

The author, Rachel Jones outlines her hopes for the book, '5 things to pray in a Global Crisis' below and in a recent article

Available as a paperback or digital download.
